Personal Data

When you register for an account, enroll in programs, or contact us, we may collect personally identifiable information such as:

• Name and contact information (email address, phone number)
• Account credentials (email address and password)
• Your date of birth, which we ask for at signup to confirm you are 13 or older
• Billing information. Card details are entered on Stripe's checkout page and never reach our servers.
• Details a parent or guardian gives us about the children they enroll: name, age, gender, T-shirt size, allergies, medical conditions, dietary needs and emergency contacts
• What you write in our contact, job application, registration and newsletter forms

Usage Data

Only if you allow it in our cookie banner, Google Analytics 4 and the Meta Pixel collect information about your visit, including:

• IP address and device information
• Browser type and operating system
• Pages visited and time spent on our site
• Referring website addresses

If you choose "Reject non-essential", neither tool loads and this information is not collected. Our hosting providers still keep ordinary request logs (such as IP address and time) for security.

• Service Providers: With companies that run parts of the site for us, under their own privacy terms. They are:
  • Stripe: payments and refunds
  • Resend: sending account, enrollment and newsletter emails
  • Builder.io: managing the content of our pages
  • Cloudinary: storing and serving images and uploaded photos
  • Anthropic: our AI camp chat and enrollment assistant. Your messages are sent to Anthropic to generate a reply, so please don't include medical or other sensitive information in them.
  • Google (Google Analytics 4): site analytics, only with your consent
  • Meta (Meta Pixel): ad measurement, only with your consent
  • Our website and database hosting providers
• Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights and safety
• Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used and the Meta Pixel to measure our ads. Both are off until you choose: the cookie banner asks the first time you visit, and neither loads unless you accept it. You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. Storage the site needs to work, such as keeping you signed in, is always on.

Our Cookie Policy lists every cookie and storage key we use.

Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

8. Children's Privacy

Our programs are for children, but our accounts are for adults and teens. You must be 13 or older to create an account: signup asks for your date of birth and refuses anyone younger. A child under 13 is registered by a parent or guardian, who creates their own account and adds the child as a participant.

We collect information about a child only from the parent or guardian who enrolls them, and we use it only to run the program safely: for example allergies, medical conditions and emergency contacts. We don't use it for advertising and we don't sell it. A parent or guardian can ask to see, correct or delete their child's information at any time by emailing us. If we learn that a child under 13 has given us personal information without a parent's consent, we will delete it. We handle children's information in line with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the effective date.
